Heritage UK Coloured Veg A3 Cuts

A3 cuts taken from the Heritage collection of leather sourced from the old Clayton's tannery in Chesterfield.

Coloured Crust Leather - dyed vegetable tanned leather around 1.4-1.8-mm 

A3 size 42cmx29.5cm (16.5"x11.75")

With the exception of the Taupe, this leather has been coloured by traditional dye methods, then overdyed by leather stains to give a richer look. It is leather in it's simplest form, and is ideal for most purposes.   The Taupe shade is more a natural brown/grey shade without any overdyeing.

The application of a simple wax finish such as Atom Wax, Carnauba or Veg Protect, will give a very desirable characteristic appeal.

USES: knife/tool sheaths, book covers, arm-guards, straps, wristbands, pouches

These leathers all come of UK farm stock, and have been tanned in England using traditional processes including pit liming and tanning.
